Chelsea look to bring Cavani to Stamford Bridge if Morata returns to Juventus this summer
Morata has been linked with leaving the Blues just one year after his club-record £60million arrival from Real Madrid.
The Spanish frontman started well in the Premier League, scoring six goals in his first six games, but a drop in form and confidence, plus a string of injury problems, have seen him add just five more since.
The 25-year-old has scored 15 goals in all competitions in his first season for Chelsea, but he is reportedly keen to return to Juventus this summer.
Reports on Monday claimed he has already agreed personal terms over a move back to the Italian giants, and is so desperate to return he is willing to take a pay cut as part of the deal.
And, according to Tuttosport, Chelsea have identified PSG star Cavani as his replacement and have already made contact over a possible move for him this summer.
Cavani has been in fine form this season, scoring 39 goals in all competitions to overtake Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time leading goalscorer.
Despite going down in the club’s history books, though, PSG are reportedly willing to let the 31-year-old leave for the right price, due to a number of fallings out with world-record signing Neymar.
