Swashbuckling batsman Rohit Sharma is regarded as one of the best player ever to don the jersey of India. The right-hander has been one of the the most prolific run-scorers for India in the limited-over formats of the game and more often than not, he has replicated that form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well.Rohit is one of the few players to have scored more than 4000 runs in the IPL and his captaincy record is also second to none. Rohit has won three IPL titles with Mumbai and is the only skipper to do so in the history of the IPL.
Rohit, in an interview with the MI TV, recently shared his memories of playing at the Wankhede stadium for the first time.
“Wankhede has always been a special ground for me. Going there and playing cricket was always a dream for me. My first memory of the Wankhede Stadium is when I was selected for the U-14 probables for Mumbai,” Rohit told MI TV.
“I only used to watch it on television or hear about it through my friends. Eventually to go there and experience the stadium was a different feeling altogether,” he added.
